Inspiration - Where Do You Get Yours?
Where do you find real inspiration when social media feeds you nothing but impossible perfection?
I fuel my inspiration with stories of derring do, factual and fictional. I may not physically be able to hike the Himalayas or row the Atlantic, but I can digest the way those stories made me feel. I can analyse what ingredients from these tales kept me engaged and incorporate those methods into my own architectural photography career and storytelling.

My Architectural Awakening in North Wales
Can you pinpoint the beginning of your journey into the realm of architecture? My journey began quite serendipitously amid the carefree days of my youth. On days when the Welsh weather turned cold, or when a more mature indulgence beckoned, we would retreat to the comforting confines of the Morannedd Cafe.
Reims Gueux - The Forgotten French F1 Circuit
The idea of the rally was to arrive in Casino Square, Monte Carlo and en route, we’d be set a series of challenges, both skill and time-based. We’d also get to see some of the rally related sights along the way.
One of the first stops was where I’m taking you now. The Reims Racing circuit. Opened in 1926 and closed in 1972, the Formula One French Grand Prix was held here many times between 1950 and 1966.

Road Trip The Coast of Wales
To get to our next unmissable stop on Anglesey, you’ll need to keep your eye on the tide times…
St Cwyfan’s church is also popularly known as the “Little Church in the Sea” and for good reason. St Cwyfans sits on a tidal island, so at high tide, it’s just out there, in the sea, only accessible by boat. But at low tide, you can walk to it over a rocky causeway, sit on a bench against the lime washed walls and soak in the sea views.
At one point, St Cwyfan’s was attached to the mainland, but over the centuries, the little church and the land it stood on got separated through erosion, to become the island it is today.

Travel with Neil visits Bletchley Park Museum
In 2003, singer, Andre 3000 and OutKast asked the question, “What’s cooler than being cool?” And today I’m asking you “What’s more secret than ‘Most Secret’?”
No, it’s not Top Secret, it’s actually Ultra Secret. A phrase commissioned during the Second World War for a facility that’s activities were so secret, so important to global wartime intelligence, that even married couples didn’t find out for decades that they’d both worked in the same facility… true story. It wasn’t until the mid 1970’s that the work of the men and women of Bletchley Park was finally publicly revealed.
